ELEMENTARY TO MIDDLE SCHOOL TRANSITIONS
SPPS is strengthening the important transition from elementary to secondary school. Beginning in the 2013/2014 school year, the district is transforming junior high schools (grades 7 and 8) to middle schools (grades 6-8).

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TRANSITIONS
SPPS is putting schools back at the heart of the community by encouraging students to attend their Community Schools. This means shorter bus rides and an opportunity to go to school with your neighbor. New geographic Community School Zones (CSZ) for the 2013-14 school year have created a way to ensure that most of the students living near a school are accepted there.

If you have not enrolled for the 2013-14 school year, take a look at all your education options by visiting apply.spps.org. Here you will find a school selection guide, a school finder that allows families to see all their school options based on home addresses and an online application tool.
